In 1900, a hurricane hit Galveston Texas, wiping out one-sixth of the entire population. Because of that, the city built a sea wall in case it ever happened again. Well, it was a good idea because in 2000 another hurricane struck the town. After each one, everything grew back. All the plants, trees, and even most of the population.
In your toughest times, you can be at your best in God. No matter what happens, God will be with you. You know the phrase, “I was a really late/early bloomer.” You can bloom even when times are tough. A hard time in your life can push you to go harder and stronger than you ever thought you could and you could do it for the glory of God too.
If someone who was close to you died, it could make you want to push forward because you know that is what they would want you to do. If you are getting pushed around by strong winds in your life, God can help you.
All you need to do is ask God if He will help you. Just like the Red Cross comes after a disaster, God will come to help those in need. He will feed those who are hungry and give water to those who are thirsty.
Without God, we would be lost without any hope after a disaster. God will even be there in the hurricane helping you to push harder to help others. After something tragic happens your glory in God can also help inspire others to push through something hard.
“And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.” (Psalm 50:15) – This means that God will help you at any time. He will be there for you at all times.
