During the difficult trials, my trust muscle often seems weak. Sometimes, we make situations more complicated than they really are. One morning, I gained clarity on how to simplify trusting God. It’s really not complicated to trust God more.
I’m not a mountain climber, and I don’t play one on TV, but as I looked around me, mountains surrounded me. Have you ever been in the valley, looking up at the enormity of the mountain, yet feeling ill-equipped for the trek? When a mountain obscures our path, trusting God is the first step toward throwing that mountain into the sea.
Guilt. Agony. Shame. Embarrassment. Those are just a few of the feelings we can carry in our hearts from mistakes we’ve made in life. That’s not how God wants us to feel. Have you ever made a mistake and wondered, “How do I forgive myself?”

When we face difficulties and the loneliness they bring, we have a source that we can turn to so we can learn how to handle hard times.
Some days just feel daunting. You wake up, if you even slept the night before, greeted with a knot in your stomach, knowing that what lies ahead for the day requires more strength and energy than you possess.
