What are you facing today? Are there more things on your to-do list than there are hours in the day? Have the events of recent days, weeks, or months tossed you up on the rocky shore of life?
Do you look at your future and wonder if things will ever get back to some semblance of normal?
Can I be honest?
Sometimes life’s situations are just tough. Sometimes they wear you down. And sometimes we wonder when or even if they will ever end.
I can relate. As I look back over the past year, it seems one trial was always on the heels of another, making it difficult to catch our breath. Raising a family, dealing with cancer, pneumonia, running a business, and more, all at once felt like being caught in a tsunami on some days.
I don’t know what you’re going through or what you’re having to deal with in the way of daily life stresses, but let me encourage you to hold on. Hang in there.
The Word tells us to wait on the Lord…
“Wait on the Lord, be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart” (Psalm 27:14)
Two essential tips for navigating life’s trials:
1. First, hold on, hang in there, and wait while God works. Trust that God has you and your daily stresses safe in His protective hand.
2. It also says to be of good courage…this life is not for the faint at heart. Some days require that we muster courage just to get out of bed and face the day.
But if we will do those things, wait on Him AND maintain our courage, it goes on to say that He will strengthen our heart. He will bring us through stronger than we started. Better!
He knows the end from the beginning. We only see one piece of the puzzle, when He sees the entire masterpiece. Trust Him. WAIT on Him with courage. Don’t be in such a hurry to complete the puzzle, and rush through the trials that you miss the reward at the end: He will leave you stronger and better than you began.
Because of Him, #HopePrevails!
A prayer of hope when navigating life’s trials
Can I pray for you?
Father, I come before you asking that you would wrap your merciful, loving arms around the one reading these words right now. Help them to wait on you, and trust you to help in their situation. Help them to resist the spirit of fear, and instead take courage, leaving all their cares with you. In return, I ask that you strengthen them as only you can do. We love you. We trust you. And we thank you for coming to our aid. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

Life can certainly make us yearn for heaven, can’t it? Maybe that’s part of the purpose, otherwise we would likely get even more attached than we do.
I believed that God has looked at your life and decided that it was, in fact, necessary for you to go through a trial for the sake of spiritual growth.
