No one can continuously give out God’s word without being filled back up. Some people can only go a day before they need to be refilled, while others can go longer. Nobody can go forever.

His word can often come from the pastor on Sunday morning but always seems to be more effective when it’s one on one with God, or when having a small group get together to thoroughly study his word. Without these renewals of his word, it may seem that he may not even be there for you anymore, because of how spiritually exhausted you may be. To truly share his word, you must be rooted in it, to begin with.

To share his word consistently, we must also have a consistent intake. We must center ourselves in him and be in relationship with other believers before we can spread his word effectively. For how can a flower grow if it is not nourished? To spread his word without nourishment from his word will cause many to burnout and ask him why they are exhausted when they did it in “his name.”

What are a few ways that you have been able to center yourself?

“Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. – You must be strongly connected to him otherwise the fruit you bear will sour and not be what you can produce through him.” John 14:4-5
