No one can continuously give out God’s word without being filled back up. Some people can only go a day before they need to be refilled, while others can go longer. Nobody can go forever.
His word can often come from the pastor on Sunday morning but always seems to be more effective when it’s one on one with God, or when having a small group get together to thoroughly study his word. Without these renewals of his word, it may seem that he may not even be there for you anymore, because of how spiritually exhausted you may be. To truly share his word, you must be rooted in it, to begin with.
To share his word consistently, we must also have a consistent intake. We must center ourselves in him and be in relationship with other believers before we can spread his word effectively. For how can a flower grow if it is not nourished? To spread his word without nourishment from his word will cause many to burnout and ask him why they are exhausted when they did it in “his name.”
What are a few ways that you have been able to center yourself?
“Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. – You must be strongly connected to him otherwise the fruit you bear will sour and not be what you can produce through him.” John 14:4-5

Sharing Hope for the Next Generation

Oh Bryce, you are SO RIGHT!! Over our years of ministry we have run dry a few times and became physically and spiritually exhausted. During those times Father sent us to a special place, once to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, to rest and be refreshed before we continued with our trip.l We had given and given but had not been able to just sit in His Presence and soak in His Word. After a couple days of physical rest and spiritual soaking in His Word, we went back to our ministry schedule refreshed and filled up with Him. So important to fill up to give out!! I always love your messages Bryce. Please keep sharing with us!!!
Those are wise words, Bryce! When I am feeling spiritually and emotionally depleted, I stop to see how my personal time with God has been trending. Often I find that I have been “too busy” to refill my tank by abiding in Him. Thank you for this post!
Bryce – thank you for sharing this precious reminder of being in God’s Word and prayer, as well as fellowship with other Believers. I know it is vital in my walk with Jesus.
If I am not in the Word and spending time with my Savior, I cannot be an effective prayer partner or witness for Him.
Thank you for being a young man who is investing his life in the Lord and sharing His Love.
I have been richly blessed in my friendship with your precious Mom as I have spent much time bringing her and your precious family before His Throne in prayer. This has also brought me into a closer walk with my Lord.
Continuing to pray fervently for your precious Mom and y’all. May you feel His Love in a special way today. Please give your precious Mom and Dad a big hug from me and keep one for yourself.
Have a blessed day in the Lord. Love in Christ.❤️??❤️
