We all go through trials. Some are harder than others. Some last longer than others. Even the Bible tells us to expect them. John 16:33 relays “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
I recently went through a very challenging season filled with what seemed like one trial after another. As I was sitting outside early one quiet morning, I was watching the sun play hide and seek behind the clouds. It made me think, when the sun ducks behind a cloud, do we think “the sun will never be seen again”? It waits. Maybe a moment… maybe an hour…maybe a day. But the doom and gloom of the dark clouds will eventually go away, and the sun will shine again.
No matter what trials we face, they are temporary. The sun will come out again. God will continue to show His compassion. Lamentations 3:22-23 promises that “The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.”
What trials are you facing, for which you must trust in His mercy?
Yes, you’ve been through some hard times, but praise God, you were never alone…and neither are we! What an awesome God we serve.
Aaah yes, Vonda, I have, and so have you. We are promised that we will go through those hard times, but He IS Faithful!
Thank you for the reminder. 🙂
You’re most welcome my friend, Lisa! I’m so glad you “stopped by.”
