“Mocked and Ridiculed she Ghosted the halls,
Nowhere to go, Surrounded by Walls,
She holds her books,
Feeling like she’s on a hook,
She wants to cry,
For the devil hit the bullseye.”
-The Dark Bullseye

Many know that our words hold power. But few know just how powerful they can be. Most people do not realize that if God gave us even a fraction of his power, our words would be truth. That if we jokingly said, “You’re so dumb” to a mistaken action, then the person would become dumb in that instant.

We fail to realize that when people are being rude, it is not the person that God made but the devil’s puppet. The devil manipulates us into thinking that his words are our own thoughts. We are instructed to share God’s love but until we give everything to God, the devil still has places to work us as puppets.

We ask God for more of his power but what we do not realize is that He gives power incrementally based on your character and maturity. If God gave us the power we asked for, then we would be overwhelmed. We would misuse it. Until we are able to understand what He has for us, we will be unable to wield the power he has for us.

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth” (Acts 1:8).
