In a scene from “The Ranger’s Apprentice,” the main character’s wife had been dead for 18 months and he had not cracked a smile or laughed since. His friends put their rambunctious daughter into his hands to discipline in the ranger’s way. They did this because one of his closest friends is his mentor who remembered how energizing and how annoyingly, apprentices could make him break out his rare grin.

Sometimes we need someone to energize us when we are at one of our lowest points and for them to bring us back up no matter if we want to or not. God will always do it Himself or He sends someone to do it. Think about it. When you were going through something, did a stranger become a new friend or did a current friend become closer? When we are able to trust in God through the thick and thin, we can know that in our darkest moments there will be a light shining through the dark. God always gets us through.

Exodus 15:26- “He said, ‘If you will diligently listen to the voice of the Lord your God, and do that which is right in his eyes, and give ear to his commandments and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you that I put on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, your healer.’” — Listen to God and He can lift you up in good times or bad.
