Have you ever faced circumstances that caused you to really search out the scriptures for answers? That’s what happened to me as I prayed for and grieved with a friend who had lost her husband. As a new widow, she wondered how she would make it on her own. As we prayed, I remembered the days my own mother lived as a widow and the years I spent learning to trust God for provision.
With one son 13 years old, and another getting ready to graduate from HS, I think about how fast the time has gone. We recently attended a senior awards banquet for my oldest son’s fall athletic season, and parents were invited to submit photos for their senior from infancy through this year for the senior slide show. “What happened?” I asked my husband, really inquiring as to where my youngest son went.
He had just been in our family room, dancing with wild abandon, choreographing a song for his performing arts group he dances with, then rapidly disappeared when my husband and I walked back into the house after chatting on the patio.
