God called Rachelle Starr to serve women in the adult entertainment industry. In today’s post, she shares how she and a group of women serve faithfully with a long-term commitment, letting go of expectations and embracing women with unconditional love, just as God loves us. You can be faithful in ministry because the One who calls us is faithful.
Where are you today? Are you battle weary? Or are you regaining your strength after having fought the good fight? Are you searching for meaning in your suffering? I want to encourage you to hang in there. Stick it out. Don’t give up. I’ve been in the trenches, fighting a battle I didn’t see coming and I didn’t want to entertain. To make matters worse, I’ve seen this enemy before. A different face maybe, but similar tactics and all-too-familiar lies. What I’ve learned is there is sometimes a lesson in the pain. Our battles are not always for us.
Two little words were all she sent, but they were all I needed. I knew what they meant.
Our friend, brother in Christ, and beloved prayer warrior was no longer in pain and was now in his heavenly home. But for those of us who loved him dearly, the real pain would begin.
