Cancer. Nobody likes the word. It makes many cringe. Others run far away. No one has a good connotation of cancer. Tell someone that you or a loved one have been diagnosed with cancer and the conversation immediately stops. People either don’t know what to say, or they trip over themselves saying the wrong thing. In my professional practice, I see so many individuals who are bound by the chains of hurt of past offenses that has turned to bitterness, resentment and unforgiveness. The wounds have dug deep and infected their heart. And many have deep-seated hurts over things they themselves have done and find it difficult to forgive themselves. [more]

The woman at the well…I’ve always been drawn to her. Her pain. Her need. How Jesus saw her real need—her need for Him. The need she tried to fill in with others but that could only be satisfied by Him.
I think there’s a bit of her in me. Maybe there is in you too. My prayers began the journey to that very revelation, a similar well-type encounter. “God, I long to be closer to you. For you to be pleased. What am I doing wrong? Show me. Tell me.” [more]
