There are times when life doesn’t make sense, when pain is great. The most difficult of circumstances, cancer diagnosis, miscarriage, even the death of a loved one, require the greatest trust. They require that we trust God even when we don’t understand.
Boldly courageous…that was the phrase God gave me one year. It sounded exciting at the time…like a warrior princess. Adventurous and brave. Little did I know what it would entail. Or, what I would learn.
During the difficult trials, my trust muscle often seems weak. Sometimes, we make situations more complicated than they really are. One morning, I gained clarity on how to simplify trusting God. It’s really not complicated to trust God more.
I’m not a mountain climber, and I don’t play one on TV, but as I looked around me, mountains surrounded me. Have you ever been in the valley, looking up at the enormity of the mountain, yet feeling ill-equipped for the trek? When a mountain obscures our path, trusting God is the first step toward throwing that mountain into the sea.
Have you ever felt like Jesus was calling you out to a place that required you to trust in Him wholeheartedly? A place where you had to readjust your focus so you could keep your eyes on Him? God often calls us to walk into the unknown.
