When you’re waiting for God to answer, where do you keep your focus? How do you wait patiently for Him to answer? How do you trust Him in the process? The waiting game is never easy whether you’re waiting for an answer to come or for pain to end or a door to open.
As parents, it’s important for us to cover these 8 areas of our children’s lives with prayer. I’ve included Bible verses because God loves when we pray scripture back to Him. He declared that His word will not return to Him void (Isaiah 55:11). We all go through seasons in our Christian walk. In some seasons, we are full of faith, close, and growing, and other seasons we may feel dry and maybe even distant. Earlier in life, God called me to rest before I even knew what the word meant. What I learned in my searching was that rest requires trust in God. And, in order to rest and truly trust God, it meant I would have to surrender control to Him. These 5 scriptures helped me learn to trust God enough to rest.
We cannot give what we do not have. Even though I had accepted Christ as my savior as a child, I had never fully accepted the Father’s love for me.
