Do you ever struggle to trust God? That’s where I was; wanting to more fully trust but lacking. Sometimes God has to get our attention different ways before we’ll listen. He got my attention on a 3 day beach trip. It was a confirmation to trust God. That was the start of my journey to better understand how to lean on Him and trust him more deeply.
What do we do when life doesn’t go as planned? Job loss, bankruptcy, a report from the doctor that wasn’t what we wanted, a friend’s betrayal. When difficult times come, where do we put our trust?
In sharp contrast to the Lord, the enemy barks and shouts just to ensure that we are aware of and intimidated by his presence. Is he all bark? How do you walk in victory over the enemy who magnifies his presence to invoke fear?
Can you hear Him? Does the roar and whir of the noise around you drown out His voice so you cannot hear when He calls or attempts to warn you of danger? Does it drown out the Voice of safety? His calls will do no good if you cannot or will not hear Him. How and where do you hear God best?
Sometimes, situations do not turn out the way we hoped or prayed. Will we trust God despite our feelings? Will we trust Him through our tears? Even when we cannot see His hand at work? We all face this choice at some point in our lives.
