God commands us to come with Him with thanksgiving in every situation we find ourselves in. If there is one thing I’ve learned about God, it’s that He doesn’t command us to do anything that isn’t His best for us. And if cultivating a grateful lifestyle is for our good, just perhaps this will foster our ability to perceive each day as good, even when there are bad moments within each day.

It’s hard to be thankful when you’re depressed. Depression makes it hard to do anything. More often than not, we tend to focus on the negative.
