Have you ever felt like you were stuck? Going around and around the same lesson time after time? It’s often because of our own hesitant obedience or lack of trust. In Proverbs 3:5-6, God tells us to trust Him. How do we effectively trust God with all of our heart?
Even in the midst of the storm raging all around the world, God wants to know: will you trust Him in the storm? Will you be thankful regardless of the storm around you? Even when you don’t see Him? Even when you don’t feel His presence?
When difficulties come, so often our first response is to ask “why?” The answer to “why” rarely brings peace. Can we trust God in fearful, difficult circumstances? Even when we don’t know the answer to “why?”
Will you be mine? That’s not only a question we might ask another this time of year for Valentine’s Day, but I believe is also the fundamental question Jesus asks each of us. Do you love a good “love story?” I think Jesus had to go through Samaria in order to show one woman just how much He loved her.
I know I’m not the first one to struggle with feeling like what I have to offer is not enough, and I daresay I won’t be the last. Have you ever felt like you weren’t enough or what you had to offer wasn’t enough? What can you do when you feel like you’re never enough? Where do you put your focus?
