The devil can hurt us by hurting the ones we love. Whether it be an allergic reaction to a bee sting or an illness, the devil can hurt us without directly hurting us but by hurting those we care about. When he stings those who you love, he can break us down slowly. He can try to break you by using your own God-given sense of compassion. He can try to hurt you by instilling a negative thought about a devoted friend or family member or someone you look to who is in distress.
When we trust in God, we can fix what the devil is trying to do and throw it back at him. God can make the pain of those we love the fix to problems in our lives if we trust that He can fix the problems in our loved one’s lives and turn a storm into a blue sky. If the devil throws cancer at a friend, it can turn into an amazing testimony of healing and God’s providence. No matter what happens, God will always show He is there waiting for you to call him into the hospital room to heal the ones you love.
Job 2:11—“When Job’s three friends, Eliphaz the Temanite, Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite, heard about all the troubles that had come upon him, they set out from their homes and met together by agreement to go and sympathize with him and comfort him.”– Do not leave those who are going through troubles but go with the adventure with them and provide Godly guidance and show His love in troubling times.

You are wise beyond your years!
I like that you say not to leave those who are going through trouble but to go on the “adventure” with them. It really is an adventure isn’t it? When we are following Jesus we will be amazed at the possibilities that open in the midst of trial. Some wisdom here! Thank you for sharing.
Love this. Great reminder!
