Imagine with me for a moment that you are at your favorite music artist’s concert. The music is blasting and people are singing. You are wearing earplugs but you can still hear loud and clear. You are trying to gather your thoughts but the noise is bouncing them around. Someone is trying to speak to you but you can’t hear them. You are enjoying the music but you feel like you are missing something…

God is the person trying to contact you. The devil tries to make it so you can’t hear God with loud music, or other distractions. A way that I find helps me is… imagine rain, then put all the distractions in a drop of rain, stop your rain and focus on a rain drop, slowly morph that rain drop into thinking of God.

Then and only then can we focus on God without distractions. He will be able to talk to you if you recognize it is Him. When all your thoughts are rattling around in your head, calm down and let your thoughts quiet enough that you can think calmly. When the devil surrounds you with distractions all you have to do is find your way to quiet yourself so you can think clearly and talk to God.

God will help you be able to talk to him. No matter how loud it is, no matter how loud it is around you and how many distractions there are, if you really want to talk to Him, He will show you a way to talk to Him. If your entire focus is on Him, you can automatically block out all the distractions around you. He will always show a way to get to Him even if it is difficult.

“Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.” = He will answer you when you call to him and tell you things you did not know before.
