Does anybody have those people that you love being around or talking with? I assume that if you do, then those people are ones who will cheer you on, motivate you, and encourage you. You may not even live in the same state but when you get the chance to call or text, they are able to lift you out of a rut? But you have to remember, God placed them in your life for a reason.
Often, we think that all we need is God but even God said that it is “not good for man to be alone” and created a partner for Adam. James 5:16 states “Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” While it is necessary to have a close relationship with God, we must also confess to each other, and while it might terrify some, God has placed people close to us for a reason. For whenever two are gathered in his name he is present, but that requires two people, not one.
Each and every person needs others who they can trust and confide in and God will place those people into your life. Even if you live in different states, or on different continents, God will always provide a way for you to see his light. Confess up to God, but then confess out to others.
Do you have someone to confide in?
Do you have someone that can always make you smile and someone you can confide in? How did God introduce them into your life?
“A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.” Proverbs 18:24 NIV – Have companions, but always keep one or two that you can truly put trust in and confide in.

Sharing Hope for the Next Generation

I am thankful for family and friends who I can confide in and know they won’t judge me. I am most thankful to be able to share my thoughts with God. He already knows my thoughts but I am thankful to share time with Him. 🙂
Good morning Bryce – Thank you for sharing about friends and having a confidant. You are right on target. The Lord has blessed me with a number of special friends and a few true confidants. Although your precious Mom and I have never met or even spoken to one another, God has blessed us with a very special friendship and I can truly share my heart with her and be real. She is able to do the same with me. We were blessed recently to discover we have the same birthday!
To be a confidant, you need to be totally trustworthy and that is not always easy but necessary.
I really appreciate your writing, Bryce. God has truly gifted you and you are doing it for His Glory. I am praying much for your precious Mom, as well as you, PilotMan and your Dad and will continue to do so. Please give your sweet Mom and Dad a hug for me and keep a big hug for yourself. Have a blessed day in Jesus. Love in Christ.
Oh Bryce, I am so glad you wrote about this today because this is so important for all of us!!! I do have only a few I truly can confide in and really one, other than my sweet husband, that I feel totally comfortable doing so. Your blogs always bless me. I love your perspective and even us ‘older folks’ need your encouragement and love. Thank you for always sharing what the Lord gives you from your heart. Keep it up please!!! Love you Bryce. Pray for you every day!!
You are absolutely right! God wants us to put Him first, but He created us for relationships with other people, too. It sometimes takes a lot of time and hard work to nurture those few, close, special friendships but it is so worth it!
