I have a tendency to compare myself to others.  And I suspect I’m not alone in that.

As I stop and look at the trees changing their color in fall, not one of them is the same as another. But that doesn’t make any of them less beautiful.  Each individual one is beautiful in its own right.  And they are beautiful in the beginning stages of change.  They are beautiful in the middle of a season of change. And they are beautiful when the transformation is complete.

I may not be the best cook, or the best wife, or the best singer, or the best… But I am fearfully and wonderfully made. I am a daughter of the Most High God, and He calls me beautiful.  And so are you!

“He has made everything beautiful in its time.” Ecclesiastes 3:11
